Recently, Vietnam and Laos have been hit by rare and consecutive heavy rainfall due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi. Several rivers have experienced rapid rises in water levels, leading to severe flooding in local communities. CSG has shown great concern and responded to the call from the Business Association of China in Vietnam and the Lao Chinese Chamber of Commerce to launch a fundraising campaign, sending care and assistance to the affected areas. The funds raised will be handed over to the two organizations for unified management and distribution, ensuring that every donation reaches the disaster-affected areas accurately and is efficiently utilized in key areas such as resettlement of affected populations, urgent repairs to infrastructure, and post-disaster reconstruction.
Over the past two decades of advancing power cooperation in the Lancang-Mekong region, CSG has also actively participated in and promoted responses to various emergencies and disasters in the region. This includes donating funds to flood-affected victims in Lancang-Mekong countries, aiding victims in rebuilding their homes, and providing donations of public health and epidemic prevention materials.
